adidas breaks the sub-10 ounce weight barrier again with new adiZero Crazy Light 2
Lightest ever. Again.
I suppose we should all stop believing adidas when they say that they have created the lightest sneaker to ever grace a basketball court, as they recently launched to the public the brand new adidas adiZero Crazy Light 2.
Breaking the 10 ounce barrier again, the shoe boasts of a aerodynamically redesigned three-layer Sprintweb, together with an asymmetrical Sprintframe on the upper to further improve fit. When I tried on the Crazy Light 2, the new Sprintweb gave a better fit around the midfoot area as compared to its predecessor.
Similar to its previous incarnation, the shoe allows the user to switch between two different insoles: the Crazy light (a thin, TPU based sockliner for added lightness) and the Crazy Comfort (a foam-based sockliner for added cushioning. However, the added sole cushioning in the latest version made the shoe extra comfortable right out of the box, which is a huge improvement.
Currently, five colorways are now available (Electricity/Black, Black/Light Scarlet, Running White/Navy, Core Energy/White, Dark Onix/Tech Grey/White) at the adidas flagship store in Greenbelt 3 and in other adidas stores for Php7,995.
Watch out on this space for the full review of the shoe soon.
