The Philippines ended its equestrian campaign with three jockeys in the finals but failed to deliver a medal.

In the individual jumping medal round Tuesday at the Dream Park in Incheon, Marie Antoinette Leviste and her thoroughbred Maximilian afforded a sixth place finish, clocking in 34.2 seconds with four penalty deductions to finish the course.

The event’s gold medal went to Saudi Arabia’s Abdullah Waleed Sharbatli and two Japanese, Satoshi Hirao and Taizo Sugitani snatched the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

The Arabian clocked in the fifth best time (33.64 seconds) in the jump off but his first and second runs in the finals were flawless, as he and Hirao were the only jockeys with no penalty deductions.
Sugitani registered 30.95 seconds but four penalty deductions dragged him to the bronze medal.

Qatar’s Nazzer Ghazalli Jahromi was the fastest in the jump off with 30.38 seconds but an accumulated eight penalty deductions cost him the medal.

The other finalists Martin Diego Lorenzo, Jr. and Joker Arroyo failed to qualify in the jump off.
